Salon of the Month – May

A huge congratulations to the lovely Heidi from Below the Booth for being our Salon of the Month for May! Below the Booth is based in Sowerby Bridge offering a range of beauty treatments.

How long have you been using waxu Express Intimate Wax and why did you initially choose the brand?

I’ve been using waxu since November 2015 – I met Gemma and the team at the Professional Beauty in Manchester. I’m a nosey soul so went for a look, and was told that it was the most pain free wax available! Well, me being me, was like yeah right! So after a demo by the lovely Steph, I was blown away and signed up immediately! It’s been a love affair since that day!

What makes waxu different to other waxing products currently on the market?

waxu is so much more different to any other wax on the market that I’ve tried. It’s so easy to use and I can see a difference on the client compared to other conventional methods. Most importantly my clients have noticed the difference and are much happier now that I’ve started using waxu – to the point where they recommend it to their friends and family! So many clients have told me horror stories when they’ve been waxed previously at other salons with other products and all my clients are so impressed with waxu as it’s less painful, quick to have done and leaves them with no lasting pain. Once they’ve stood up they don’t even feel that they’ve had a wax, so their satisfaction gives me satisfaction!

What do you love most about waxu?

I love waxu for so many reasons. Not only does it look and smell great, but it’s also the EASIEST wax to use. The way it glides onto the skin with no pulling at all. It’s super flexible so you can work faster and more efficiently with no breaking! I also adore the waxu strip wax too – it doesn’t stick to the skin so makes this the most comfortable strip wax on the market. I love waxu and tell all my other therapist friends that they need to be using it in their salons too!

What do you do to keep your clients coming back month after month?

My clients just love waxu. I’ve been providing intimate waxing treatments since 2003 and have a lot of regular customers. When I first introduced waxu into the salon, it was definitely a upgrade. I would say that 95% of my clients loved it and found it a much more comfortable waxing experience.

I have some clients they love the “waxed” look, but hate the pain, so waxu is just perfect for them. Once they’ve tired it, that’s it they’re hooked!! Happy loyal clients. I get asked for ‘that lovely pink wax, that doesn’t hurt’.
