Salon of the Month – August

Congratulations to Joanne at Joli Nails and Beauty in Buxton for being our Salon of the Month for August. Based in Buxton, Derbyshire, Joli Nails and Beauty offers a wide range of treatments, including, nails, facials, eyelash extensions and massage as well as waxing.

How long have you been using waxu express intimate wax and why did you initially choose the brand?

I’ve been using waxu for some time now. I originally chose waxu on a clients recommendation. My client had experienced waxu at another salon and had absolutely loved the treatment. She spoke so highly of the product and the technique that I knew I had to give it a go! I called waxu straight away and signed up to have my training and become a waxu approved salon.

What makes waxu different to other waxing products currently on the market?

So so many things; for the client it is far more comfortable with no sting. For the therapist it sets so much faster resulting in a much more efficient wax. With my old waxing brand the treatment was performed with underwear on which was a bit of a faff – with waxu there is none of that!

What do you love most about waxu?

Hands down it’s the time it takes the wax to set. With my old waxing brand it would take 45 minutes to an hour to carry out a treatment as the wax was just so slow to set. With waxu I can fully complete a wax in less than 20 minutes; saving over half the time. With waxu I can perform 2 to 3 treatments in the time I used to be able to do 1 – that’s pretty impressive!

What do you do to keep your clients coming back month after month?

I ensure that I provide my clients with great after care advice and I book them in for their next treatment before they leave.
